Working For You
The Chamber of Commerce Niagara Falls, Canada is the recognized voice of business in Niagara Falls. We believe in being proactive in representing our members at all levels of government on issues of importance to the business community.
Issues brought to our attention are discussed and reviewed by our Government Affairs Committee. Policy positions are then put into place and recommended to the Board of Directors, before being presented to the pertaining level of government.
We have represented our members on issues such as proposed Water and Sewer Rate Structure changes at the City of Niagara Falls, industrial development charges at the Regional Municipality of Niagara, commercial and property tax assessment at the Province of Ontario, industrial tax rates at both the municipal and regional level. This work was done on behalf of our members to encourage new development, jobs, and an equitable property tax system.
